PREVIEW: Group A - Greece v Czech Republic
FOOTBALL - On Tuesday, 12 June, Greece and Czech Republic will meet in their Group A encounter at Wroclaw’s Municipal Stadium. It is the ninth match of Euro 2012 and we have assembled some key facts and figures on this match.
> Greece have not conceded a goal in their last four matches against Czech Republic – winning 1-0 twice and drawing 0-0 twice.
> This includes the 1-0 win in the Euro 2004 semifinal when Traianos Dellas scored the silver goal.
> Greece and Ukraine are the only teams without a Premier League player in their squads. Group A is also the only group without a player based in Spain.
> Kostas Chalkias is the oldest player at Euro 2012. Against Poland, he became the seventh player older than 38 to feature in a ECh match.
> Czech Republic can become the first country to concede 3+ goals in four successive ECh matches.
> Milan Baroš won the top scorers title at Euro 2004 with five goals. Only six players have scored six or more goals at Euro finals tournaments: Michel Platini (9), Alan Shearer (7), Ruud van Nistelrooy (6), Patrick Kluivert (6), Thierry Henry (6) and Nuno Gomes (6).
