BIRTHDAY: 14 July - Halil Mutlu (Weightlifting)

WEIGHTLIFTING - Halil Mutlu is 39 years old today. Standing at only 1.50 metres in height, tremendous power would not automatically be expected from Mutlu, a surname meaning ‘happy’ in Turkish. “Little Dynamo” won weightlifting gold medals in three successive Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004) to become one of the sporting icons of his country.
