BIRTHDAY - 18 July: Gino Bartali (Cycling)

CYCLING - Gino Bartali would have been 98 years old if he were alive today. One of the greatest treasures in cycling history, one is only left to wonder what Bartali’s list of honours would have looked like had there not been a World War II. Bartali won five Grand Tours and he won the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia before and after the war.
