REVIEW: Ernie Els wins golf Majors 10 years apart

GOLF - Ernie Els is the winner of the 2012 British Open, following a dramatic meltdown on the last four holes by leader Adam Scott. Els’s victory ended a run of nine successive Majors that had featured first time Major winners. For Els, it was his fourth career Major and his first in 10 years, after winning the Claret Jug in 2002.

All six players that had to wait 10+ years for another Major victory responded by winning the same Major they had most recently won.
