PREVIEW: Serie A Matchday 8

FOOTBALL - The following are some key facts and figures on a selected assortment of matches in the Serie A this weekend. The matches we have looked into are Juventus - Napoli, Lazio - AC Milan and Internazionale - Catania.

Juventus - Napoli

> Juventus are still unbeaten in all 26 matches in their new stadium (all competitions). They recorded their biggest win in the Juventus Arena against AS Roma last season 4-0.

Napoli can record their best season start in club history. They need to win this fixture to break the current record set in 1987-1988 (6 wins, 2 draws, 0 defeats).

The last time Juve failed to score against Napoli in a Serie A home match was on 9 May 1982 (0-0).  They have scored at least 1 goal in each of their last 22 home matches against Napoli.

Juventus are one goal short of scoring 200 in all Serie A matches against Napoli (home and away).

Lazio - AC Milan

AC Milan have scored 8 of their 10 goals this season (all competitions) away from home.

Milan have scored at least one goal in each of their last 11 Serie A matches on the road. The last time they failed to net was in the 2-0 defeat at today’s opponents Lazio in February.

Forward Tommaso Rocchi (Lazio) is on 99 Serie A goals in 307 Italian top flight matches.

Internazionale - Catania

 > Internazionale have never lost a Serie A home match against Catania (W13, D2, L0) and have scored at least one goal in all of the previous 15 encounters.

Catania have not won their last 10 Serie A away matches. The only 2012 victory on the road so far was recorded in February when they beat Siena 0-1 thanks to a Francesco Lodi winning goal.

> Catania’s Nicola Legrottaglie celebrated his 36th birthday on the evening before this match. He can play his 350th Italian league game against Inter (22 goals).
