REVIEW: Bayern break Bundesliga record for most wins from season start

FOOTBALL - Bayern München broke the Bundesliga record for winning most successive league matches from season start, by collecting their 8th successive win in 2012/2013 Bundesliga season, beating Fortuna Düsseldorf 5-0. 

> Next week Bayern will try to equal Juventus and Real Madrid who’s record for most wins from the start of their domestic league season is 9.

> In Bundesliga history three teams had started a season winning 7 successive matches: Bayern (1995/1996), 1. FC Kaiserslautern (2001/2002) and FSV Mainz 05 (2010/2011).

> However, these winning streaks did not bring these teams a Bundesliga championship. Borussia Dortmund walked away with the league title on all three occasions.
