REVIEW: Manchester clubs come from behind to win on the same day

FOOTBALL - Saturday 20 October marked the first time in PL history Manchester United and Manchester City came from behind to win on the same day.

Tottenham Hotspur 2-4 Chelsea

> Chelsea picked up their first PL victory at White Hart Lane since 2005.

Liverpool 1-0 Reading

> Liverpool picked up their first PL win at Anfield this season – Brendan Rodgers first home league win as their manager.

> At 17 years and 317 days old Raheem Sterling became the second-youngest ever PL scorer for Liverpool after Michael Owen (17-143). 

Manchester United 4-2 Stoke City

> Wayne Rooney becomes the first PL player to score at both ends in a PL match since Thomas Vermaelen against Fulham in November 2011.

> Rooney is the first Manchester United player to score at both ends in a PL match in 11 years, since David Beckham at Blackburn (2-2) in August 2001.

Swansea City 2-1 Wigan Athletic

> Swansea ended a run of five PL matches without a win, and pick up their first PL victory since August 25.

> Michu scored his sixth PL goal of the season. He is now equal top scorer this season with Demba Ba and Robin van Persie.

West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Manchester City

> Edin Dzeko scored both goals as a substitute – the second PL player to score a double off the bench this season after Demba Ba for Newcastle. This is the second time he has achieved this feat – he also did it in their 6-1 win at Old Trafford last season.

West Ham United 4-1 Southampton

> Mark Noble scored his first PL goals since netting two penalties in a 4-2 home defeat to Manchester United in April 2011.

Norwich City 1-0 Arsenal

> Norwich picked up their first win over Arsenal in 20 years, since a 4-2 win at Highbury on the opening day of the first ever PL season (August 1992).
