REVIEW: Giants owe World Series berth to resilience

BASEBALL - The San Francisco Giants will be the National League’s 2012 World Series representatives after defeating the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 in the NLCS. At one point, the Giants trailed the series 3-1 and staved off elimination in three straight games. In the previous round, they beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 after trailing 2-0. The Giants are the first team in MLB postseason history to reach the World Series after coming back from two games behind in the first two postseason series.
