Spain win the world handball championship in the most lopsided final in the history of the competition, defeating Denmark by 16 (35-19). The previous biggest margin of victory was 10 (Sweden beating Czechoslovakia 22-12 in 1958. The defeat was the second biggest ever for Denmark in a major international competition.
