Woods roared through the tournament, becoming the youngest player to be presented with the Green Jacket, a mark that stands until this very day. Woods won the 1997 US Masters by a staggering 12 strokes difference, even though he had turned pro only eight months earlier.
FOOTBALL - Carles Puyol is 34 years old today. He was groomed by FC Barcelona’s youth academy and made his first team debut in 1998/1999. Then coach Louis van Gaal inquired: “Son, would you not consider cutting your hair?”. Carles never did and became an icon and a leader.
