Dennis BergkampFOOTBALL - Dennis Bergkamp is 43 years old today. He played for Ajax, Internazionale and Arsenal. He made 648 appearances for his clubs and 79 for the Dutch national team. He has won the Eredivisie once with Ajax and is a two-time UEFA Cup winner (with Internazionale and Ajax). With Arsenal he won the Premier League three times. He is now an assistant-coach at Ajax. Bergkamp’s nickname was the “Non-Flying Dutchman” because he had developed a fear of flying after the 1994 World Cup.

FOOTBALL - Ajax have been crowned champions of the Eredivisie for the second season in a row. The Amsterdam side won their 31st Dutch top flight title and their first in succession since winning three in a row from 1994-1996. At one point this season, they had dropped 13 more points than the leaders, but a string of 13 straight victories saw them run away with the championship.
