FOOTBALL - Robin van Persie has lost the lead in the Premier League goalscoring table, and could still be on top if he did not lead another table: players hitting the woodwork most often in the Premier League this season. The Manchester United striker has connected with post and bar far more often than any other player.
FOOTBALL - When looking purely at the outcome of two-legged knockout ties in Europe historically, it becomes apparent that home sides in the first leg can only become prohibitive favourites to advance, if they win the first leg by at least two clear goals.
