FOOTBALL - Bayern München completed the treble consisting of domestic league, domestic cup and Champions Cup/Champions League. They are the first German club to achieve the feat and join six other winners: Celtic (1967), Ajax (1972), PSV (1988), Man United (1999), FC Barcelona (2009), Internazionale (2010). Having also won the domestic super cup, Bayern also became the first German club to win four trophies in one season.

FOOTBALL - FC Barcelona drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain to reach the semifinals of the Champions League on Wednesday. This is the 29th time Barça reached a semifinal in any European competition, equalling the record set by Real Madrid yesterday. Bayern München reached the semifinals of a European competition for the 23rd time, which is third most of all clubs. Juventus, eliminated by Bayern today, were held to 20 semifinals.

FOOTBALL - Bayern München’s 2012/2013 Bundesliga campaign reaches the halfway point when they take on Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday. Their current lead over second placed Bayer Leverkusen is 11 points and would equal the biggest German top flight lead at the halfway point set by 1. FC Nürnberg in 1967/1968.
FOOTBALL - Borussia Dortmund’s 1-1 draw at Bayern München meant that the Borussen failed to register a unique achievement: winning three successive Bundesliga matches at Bayern. In the 50-year history of the league, an away team win two straight at Bayern on nine occasions, however none of those teams managed to extend that streak to three.
FOOTBALL - Bayern are assured of being crowned ‘Herbstmeister’, the honour bestowed on the team that leads the table at the midway point. With three matches to go until that halfway marker, Bayern have opened up a 10-point lead. In 49 previous Bundesliga season, the halfway leaders converted their Herbstmeisterschaft into a league title on 32 occasions (65%). Bayern’s conversion rate is 82% (14 out of 17).
FOOTBALL - On Saturday, Bayern München beat Hannover 5-0 to secure their fifth Bundesliga win this calender year by at least a 5-goal margin. This equals the Bundesliga record set by Hamburger SV in 1980 which was equalled by VfB Stuttgart in 1984, who also collected five league wins in a year by at least a 5-goal margin.
FOOTBALL - Bayern München negotiated their first draw of the 2012/2013 Bundesliga season despite a third minute goal by Mario Mandzukic. When Bayern score in the first five minutes of a Bundesliga match - they have done that a league high nine times in the last three seasons - they usually win. The only two exceptions are both 1-1 draws against 1. FC Nürnberg (the other on 9 Apr 2011).
