BIRTHDAY - 7 June: Cafu (Football)

FOOTBALL - Cafu is 42 years old today. Cafu was the right back and captain of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winning side. He is his country’s most capped player with 142 international appearances, one of many records to his name. He is the only player that played in three World Cup finals in 1994, 1998, 2002 and he has won two World Cups. He has won 16 World Cup matches with Brazil, which is also a record. At club level, Cafu played for São Paulo, Real Zaragoza, Palmeiras, AS Roma and  AC Milan.

FOOTBALL - Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, better known as Kaká, is 30 years old today. He is one of the biggest Brazilian stars of the last decade, winning the World Cup with his country in 2002. With his domestic clubs he has won the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, Serie A and is about to win La Liga with current employer Real Madrid. Kaká is a devout Christian and an accomplished humanitarian.

Known for this ferocious striking of the ball, his epic dashes forward and his great speed, he has won the Champions League three times, the FIFA World Cup once and has earned 125 caps for Brazil.
