REVIEW: British continue recent domination of time trials

CYCLING - Alex Dowsett and Sir Bradley Wiggins finished first and second respectively in Saturday’s individual time trial in the Giro d’Italia. Before July 2012, British riders had never recorded 1-2 finishes in individual time trials in Grand Tours. Now, this feat has been achieved three times in the last 10 months.

REVIEW: Cancellara emulates Magni and Raas in Flanders

CYCLING - Fabian Cancellara wrapped up his second career Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders) win on Sunday, following up on his 2010 triumph. Fiorenzo Magni (1949, 1950 and 1951) and Jan Raas (1979 and 1983) are the only other non-Belgian riders to have accomplished that feat. Cancellara won his 5th ‘Monument’ race (MSR,RvV,PR,LBL,GdL), the highest echelon of Classic races.
