BASKETBALL - Last night, the Oklahoma City Thunder eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers from the 2012 NBA playoffs closing out the series 4-1 and booking a place in the Western Conference finals against the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder are led by their highly exciting star players Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. The latter pulled off this remarkable shot.
FOOTBALL - Oh, how we love YouTube. Today we found a clip showing the last five minutes of the 2011/2012 Premier League season. On the left side of your split screen, the Manchester United fans waiting for the other match to finish. On the right side of your screen, the finish they did not hope for. Music by The Verve.
BASKETBALL - We love the creativity by the Celtics’ Avery Bradley on this play. As the opposition is moving, he is pretending that his shoelaces are untied. And he sells the fake brilliantly. The upcourt pass falls into his waiting hands and he leads the easy counter-attack. Did you ever trick your opponents like this?
BASKETBALL - One of our favourite things on the Internet today are the masters of the basketball trick shot: Dude Perfect. Click here to see how their bizarre hobby started and just Google them to find YouTube clips showing how much it has gotten out of hand. At one point they simply outgrew their own back yard.
FOOTMINTON - What happens when one of the world’s largest football stars, Cristiano Ronaldo, collides with one of the world’s biggest tennis stars, Rafael Nadal? The answer is a positively undecided game of Footminton, in part of impressive -and mercurial- footwear by Nike. Click here for the clip. Would be awesome if someone forged a tag team between Roger Federer and Lionel Messi for the ultimate doubles match.
BASKETBALL - Check out this intercontinental ballistic missile from Marcus Camby, scoring a basket almost from his own baseline. Click here and be amazed. He reminds us of the guys from Dude Perfect, masters of the basketball trick shot. Click here. This idea came to us via our friends on Facebook.
SHOOTING - This week, one of our long time friends from our international network pointed us towards an incident from the 10th Arab Shooting competition in Kuwait, in which Kazakhstan’s Maria Dmitrienko won gold for her country and lined up on the podium, expecting to hear her country’s national anthem. Bizarrely, she heard something else.
TENNIS - The Sony Ericsson Open in Miami has only just started and we have had our first shocker already. Watch this bizarre sequence as Bernard Tomic motions to get his own father and coach to be dismissed from a tennis match. Wow.
BASEBALL - Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Adam Eaton could not believe his eyes when looking at his salary check receipt. 120,000 US dollars to his name. That is right. To his NAME. Click here to read this bizarre and very funny story!

FOOTBALL - This German Cup match between Greuther Fürth and Borussia Dortmund is heading for penalties. In the 119th minute Fürth sub in their reserve goalkeeper, who has a fierce reputation as a penalty killer. Only one thing, he never faces a single penalty taker. Click here to see how this decision ‘backfires’ brutally.
BASKETBALL - We want to check out this clip to see the Denver Nuggets’ Danilo Galinari use creativeness and the eyes in the back of his head to leave the entire Boston Celtics team flat-footed. Galinari also led the home side in points as Denver dumped the C’s 98-91 in the Mile High City on Saturday.
BASKETBALL - Blake Griffin’s monster jams have travelled around the world drawing ooohhhs and aaaahhhs globally. But he shows us here that he is not quite as accomplished as a free throw shooter. He is definitely launching the wrong kind of ‘air ball’ and, with his dunking capacity, should maybe consider shooting ‘Air Jordan free throws’. Blake, why don’t you accept this advice from us as an early birthday present?
BASKETBALL - The highly inventive and creative people at Dude Perfect have succeeded in firing the longest three-pointer in hoops history. For the next few Mondays, we will be honouring their work to get your week off running with a smile. Click here for that shot from downtown. And we mean: downtown.
FOOTBALL - Just as David Beckham is about to take a corner kick, a spectator offers him a refreshment. Since Becks is much too professional to be drinking on the job, he politely declines the offer and disposes of the beer can before resuming his famous ‘bending’ routine. Click here for footage.
