GOLF - Tiger Woods emerged victorious at the Memorial Tournament on Sunday, earning his 73rd career tournament title. This makes Woods join Jack Nicklaus in second place all-time on that list. It was Woods’s fifth win at the Memorial. He needs nine more tournament victories to equal the all-time record.
GOLF - Rory McIlroy is 23 years old today. In 2007, he turned pro as in the amateur realm there ‘were no more worlds to be conquered’. McIlroy has shown flashes of greatness in his young career and is a budding superstar of golf. The Ulster man won the US Open in 2011 and won the Ryder Cup with Team Europe in 2010. He is the current number one in the world (PGA ranking).
