RUGBY UNION - Neil Jenkins is 41 years old today. Jenkins, a former Wales international Rugby Union player amassed 87 caps for Wales and scored 1,049 points. He was the first player to score 1,000 points in Test matches. Since then, he has been overtaken only by New Zealand’s Dan Carter and England’s Jonny Wilkinson. Jenkins retired in 2004 but stayed on with the team as a part of the coaching staff.

RUGBY UNION - Bryan Habana is 29 years old today. In 2007, he helped South Africa win the Rugby World Cup and he was one of their stars. Habana, capable of running the 100m in 10.4 seconds, is his country’s all-time leading try scorer. He is among the fastest rugby players ever. In 2007 he was named International Rugby Board Player of the Year.

RUGBY UNION - Jonny Wilkinson is 33 years old today. He is an English rugby union player and former member of the England national team. He was the talisman that won England the 2003 Rugby World Cup. The 22nd of November 2003 was to become his day. The score in the World Cup final knotted at 17-17 and with 26 seconds to go Wilkinson kicked a drop kick that ended Australia’s hopes and earned ‘Wilko’ a place in history.

RUGBY UNION - Jonah Lomu is 37 years old today. He is quite possibly one of the most intimidating figures ever to set foot on a rugby pitch. A freakish combination of speed and power, Lomu needed not run around or even hurdle his opponents. He simply plowed through them. The 1995 World Cup was his championship, even though his All Blacks lost the final against South Africa.
