FOOTBALL - Tottenham Hotspur’s Scott Parker is the 16th oldest player to earn his first England captaincy at 31 years and 138 days. Remarkably, the record holder, Alexander Morten, was nearly 10 years older than Parker (41-113) when he first captained England on 8 March 1873.
