FOOTBALL - Sir Alex Ferguson will step down as Manchester United manager at the end of the season. Since he became the manager of the club in 1986, he has won 38 trophies, of which four in 1999 and four in 2008.
CYCLING - On Saturday, the 96th Giro d’Italia starts in Naples. Mark Cavendish has won 36 stages in all three Grand Tours combined and needs one more stage win to equal Rik Van Looy on eighth place on the all-time list. FOOTBALL - On Monday, Manchester United became the first club to reach 20 league titles in English top flight football after defeating Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
FOOTBALL - Luis Suarez was well on his way to break the Liverpool Premier League scoring record for most goals in a single season. Suarez is on 22 goals and needs six more to equal Robbie Fowler’s club record from 1995/96. However, Suarez has not scored in the last four PL matches, after netting vs Tottenham on March 10.
