FIVE FAST FACTS: Review – Belgium v Russia 1-0

FOOTBALL – We look back at Belgium’s 1-0 win over Russia. Divock Origi became the first teenager to score at a World Cup  since Lionel Messi in 2006.

> Belgium qualified for the Last 16 round and now have reached the knockout stages in five of their last six World Cup participations, only to fail in 1998, when they finished third in their group.

> Divock Origi (19 years 65 days) became the first teenager to score a WC goals since Lionel Messi who was 18 years and 357 days when he scored against Serbia in June 2006 (6-0).

> Origi is also the youngest goalscorer at this edition of the World Cup, beating Netherlands’ Memphis Depay (20-125).

> Origi’s goal was the 15th by a substitute at this World Cup, already as many as in the entire 2010 World Cup tournament.

> Belgium have now scored three successive World Cup goals by substitutes, a feat Switzerland already achieved this World Cup.
